This 60-year-old lawyer and journalist competed in the Miss Argentina beauty pageant and people are loving it.
In April, Alejandra Rodriguez made history by winning the title of Miss Buenos Aires, becoming the first woman over 60 to win a Miss Universe franchise contest.
Previously, contestants had to be between 18 and 28 years old to take part in the Miss Universe pageant.
But the competition changed its rules in 2023, to remove the upper age limit.
The pageant also changed its rules to allow married, divorced, pregnant, gay, and transgender women to take part in all of its competitions.
Rodriguez went on to compete in the Miss Argentina contest on May 25 but did not win.
The crown went to 29-year-old Magali Benejam who would have been considered too old under the previous rules.
However, Rodriguez took home the title of “Best Face”.
After the event, Rodriguez told CNN that her participation marks a before and after, adding that she hopes the concept of beauty will be expanded beyond exterior beauty.
