Cardi B’s first trip to Saudi Arabia turned into a full social-media storyline after she headlined MDLBEAST Soundstorm in Riyadh and shared clips from her time in the kingdom.

MDLBEAST Soundstorm is one of the Middle East’s most influential music festivals, with this year’s lineup including Cardi B, Post Malone, Calvin Harris, Halsey and more.

Across videos and posts that spread widely on X and Instagram, Cardi documented her arrival and daily moments in the city, quickly drawing attention from fans across Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

She announced her arrival on Instagram with a video filmed in an all-black, floor-length halter dress with long gloves and a hood draped over her shoulders, captioned, “Hello Saudi Arabia.”

As fans began calling her “Halal B” in the comments, Cardi later edited the caption to include the nickname.

She was later spotted shopping in Riyadh in the same outfit, a moment she had teased earlier this month on X when she told fans she was excited to shop in Saudi Arabia.

Cardi also shared a video of herself working out in a private gym inside her hotel room while wearing an abaya and hijab, ending the clip by saying “Mashallah”, which means “As God has wished” in Arabic.

In other posts, Cardi spoke about how the visit affected her personally, saying her stay in Saudi Arabia brought her a “certain type of peace and energy,” which she described as a meaningful experience.
