The Dalai Lama has received the first shot of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The 85-year-old exiled Tibetan spiritual leader was received the AstraZeneca’s COVISHIELD vaccine in the mountain town of Dharamsala in India on Saturday Mar. 6.
He enrolled himself for vaccination when the program started, AP reported. After getting vaccinated, he urged people to get vaccinated, saying it was very important for the greater good and for preventing “some serious problems.”
“More people should have courage to get this injection,” he said.
