People In Egypt Held A Protest At The Rafah Crossing With Gaza To Demand Israel To End Its Blockade
People chanted "Open the crossing!" and called for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza.

A large group of people in Egypt gathered at the Egyptian side of the Rafah border with Gaza on Monday, April 7, demanding an end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza and its blockade on the Strip.
People chanted "Open the crossing!" and called for humanitarian aid to be allowed into Gaza, as Israel blocked all aid from entering Gaza since March 1.
Thousands of Egyptians from various provinces then rallied near the El-Arish Airport in North Sinai on Tuesday, April 8, as Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and French President, Emmanuel Macron arrived in North Sinai, in support of Palestinians and rejecting US President Donald Trump's plan to forcibly displace Palestinians to other countries.
"We support the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people, against the attempts of their displacement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump,” a protester named Soad Mostafa said to Xinhua News.
Trump repeated several times his plan for the US to “own” and “control” Gaza and move Palestinians to other countries, with his latest remark on April 8, saying that Gaza is an “incredible peice of real estate” and he would turn it to a “freedom zone.”
Sisi and Macron both said they are against the displacement of Palestinians from their land and called for an end to the war.
Egypt and Arab leaders had put forward a plan to counter Trump’s plan, including rebuilding Gaza over five years without moving Palestinians out of Gaza.
France, along with Germany, Italy and the UK, has also endorsed the plan as a "realistic" path to improving living conditions in Gaza.
Israel unilaterally ended a two-month ceasefire with Hamas in Gaza on March 18 and resumed deadly air and ground attacks on Gaza, Lebanon and Syria.
Israel has now killed more than 61,700 Palestinians in Gaza, with thousands still missing under the rubble and presumed dead.
