Children now make up 40% of the more than 8,000 people killed in Gaza since Oct. 7, when Israel declared war on Hamas, according to the charity.

A further 1,000 children are missing and assumed to be buried under the rubble.

And another at least 6,360 children in Gaza have been injured.

But according to the UN, a third of hospitals across the Gaza Strip are no longer operational due to power cuts and Israel placing Gaza under a “total siege” and blocking food, water, fuel and medicine from entering.

Rights and humanitarian groups are calling for an immediate ceasefire to save lives.
