A journalist has shared a set of photos of different locations around Gaza before and after Israel’s attacks, showing the scale of the decimation Israel has wrought on Gaza since Oct. 7.
The photos, first shared by Shahin Hazamy, an Iranian journalist based in France, was widely reposted by several significant accounts such as @eye.on.palestine and @muslim, as well as notable Palestinian journalists such as Plestia Alaqad and Bisan Owda.
More than 70% of civilian infrastructure, including homes, hospitals and schools, in the Gaza Strip has been destroyed or severely damaged, the UN agency in Palestine (UNRWA) said on Thursday Feb. 15.
UNRWA shared its own video showing the devastation in Gaza city, including shots of its health center, which had been destroyed.
Israel’s relentless bombardment has forced more than 1.7 million Palestinians – about 75% of Gaza’s population of 2.3 million – from their homes.
Israel’s attacks have also killed more than 28,600 Palestinians, mostly women and children, in Gaza since Oct. 7.
