A Palestinian boy in Gaza who was known for his positive attitude and big smile despite Israel’s war has shared a new video where he broke down in tears.

Abdallah Almajaida went viral at the beginning of the war when he shared a video of him struggling to find a place with electricity to charge his brother’s phone.

He frequently shares videos documenting his struggles of finding food, water, and electricity in Gaza and shared a touching video capturing his reaction to the temporary truce in November.

In an emotional video on May 20, Abdallah broke down in tears, pleading, “We can’t handle it anymore. We are tired. Please stop the war. We are tired. People are dying”.

Abdallah’s house, like those of many others in Gaza, has been destroyed, forcing him and his family to be displaced multiple times.

He is currently in Rafah, where the Israeli military is conducting a full-blown invasion and ordering Palestinians to evacuate.

In his video, he expressed his disappointment and confusion over the false promises of a ceasefire, saying, “Everybody is lying to us. They say there is a ceasefire, and then they say there is no ceasefire”.

Earlier in May, a ceasefire agreement was mediated by Egypt and Qatar, and was accepted by Hamas which raised Palestinians’ hope for an end to the war.

However, Israel rejected the ceasefire proposal and launched a military operation in Rafah, where it had pushed 1.4 million Palestinians to seek refuge.
