It was shared on March 12, just before Israel unilaterally ended the ceasefire, launching massive airstrikes across the Strip, killing more than 400 Palestinians in less than 24 hours.

The children were part of the Camp Breakerz dance crew (CB Crew), which became a symbol of hope for children in Gaza, offering emotional support through the power of hip hop and breakdancing.

The crew was founded in 2004 by brothers Mohammed and Ahmed Alghariz in the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza to draw attention to the plight of Palestinians under Israel’s occupation.

After living through multiple wars and losses, including the bombing of their studio in 2009, CB Crew members started studying psychology and art therapy to better help their community.

The crew offers workshops and dance classes, often in partnership with organizations like Save the Children and UNRWA, with the mission of to bringing hope to Gaza’s children and allowing them to experience something other than violence.

“I want them to see a good way of life. I want to tell them that they can dance and play and do everything in life; that they can think about other things besides the siege and war. Yes, we live under siege. But you can get your freedom this way,” Mohammed Alghariz told Time Magazine.

In 2012, they established CB Crew Academy, providing more than 50 students with creative classes including dance, graffiti and music.

In 2024, CB Crew launched “Get Down for Gaza,” a weekly international event connecting Gaza’s refugee camps with cities like New York, Paris and Dubai, highlighting their global influence and solidarity through dance, with all the proceeds going to the Camp Breakerz’s children in Gaza.
