This Six-Year-Old Palestinian Girl Was Seen Running Through A Huge Fire Caused By An Israeli Airstrike
Six-year-old Ward Jalal Al-Sheikh Khalil escaped from a fire caused by an Israeli airstrike that killed 33 people, including her mother and five siblings.

In a horrific scene, A Palestinian girl was seen running through a fire after Israeli forces bombed the school she was sheltering in and killed her mother and most of her siblings.
A widely shared and harrowing video showed six-year-old Ward Jalal Al-Sheikh Khalil escaping from a fire caused by an Israeli airstrike on the Fahmi Al-Jargawi School in Gaza, where she and her family had taken shelter.
The strike occurred overnight on Sunday, May 25, igniting a fire and killing at least 33 people, mostly children burned to death, including Ward's mother and five siblings.
Ward survived despite walking through the flames and rubble as she fled the burning building but suffered burns to her arm.
“When I woke up, I found a huge fire, and I saw my mom was dead. I walked in the fire so I could escape, “ Ward told an Al Jazeera reporter in Gaza.
Her father and one brother survived but remain in critical condition in the hospital.
The school was being used as a shelter for displaced Palestinian families.
The Israeli military said the strike targeted a Hamas command center inside the school, without providing proof.
Since Oct. 7, 2023, Israel has killed more than 61,700 Palestinians in Gaza, including 18,000 children and has wiped out at least 2,483 families completely off the registry.
