Israel’s Strike On Gaza’s Nasser Hospital Killed This Journalist Who Was Planning To Marry After The War

Al Jazeera photographer Mohammad Salama was killed on Aug. 25 when Israel bombed Nasser Hospital in a double-tap strike that left 21 people dead, including five journalists.

Just months ago, he had gotten engaged to fellow journalist Hala Asfour, and the two worked side by side documenting Israel’s genocide in Gaza while planning to marry after it ended.

Israel has now killed at least 246 journalists in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, according to Gaza’s media office.
