Hamas Has Agreed To Part Of Trump’s Ceasefire Plan, Saying It Will Release All Hostages And Discuss Terms
Hamas said in a statement on Telegram on Friday, Oct. 2 that “to achieve a stop to the war and full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the movement announces its acceptance of the release of all occupation prisoners, alive and deceased”.

Hamas has delivered its response to US president Donald Trump’s 20-point ceasefire plan for Gaza and said it agrees to release all the Israeli hostages, both dead and alive. as part of the plan.
On Monday, Sept. 29, Trump received Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House in Washington D.C. for the fourth time, and Netanyahu had said he had agreed to Trump’s 20-point peace plan.
Qatari and Egyptian officials then delivered the plan to Hamas officials.
Hamas said in a statement on Telegram on Friday, Oct. 2 that “to achieve a stop to the war and full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, the movement announces its acceptance of the release of all occupation prisoners, alive and deceased” as per the exchange conditions in Trump’s proposal.
It added that it is ready to immediately enter negotiations through mediators to discuss the details of the deal.
Hamas said that it also agrees to hand over the administration of Gaza to a “Palestinian independent (technocratic) authority based on Palestinian national consensus and backed by Arab and Islamic support.”
However, it added that further points of the plan, including the future of Gaza and the rights of the Palestinian people, will need to be discussed through comprehensive negotiations based on relevant international laws and resolutions.
Following the announcement, Trump called on Israel to “immediately stop the bombing of Gaza” to allow the safe and quick return of hostages.
“Right now, it’s far too dangerous to do that. We are already in discussions on details to be worked out. This is not about Gaza alone, this is about long sought PEACE in the Middle East,” he wrote on his social media plan Truth Social.
Trump had given Hamas an ultimatum earlier on Friday, Oct. 3, on Truth Social, threatening that an agreement must be reached by 6 pm US Eastern time (22:00 GMT) on Sunday, or else “Hell will break out” in Gaza.
“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER,” Trump wrote.
