A spokesperson for Prince William said William had invited Harry and Meghan to join him and Kate to look at the tributes and flowers outside the royal residence.
The couples greeted crowds that had gathered outside the royal residence, walking along and studying the piles of flowers and tributes.
The brothers have reportedly fallen out in recent years after Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties in 2020 and moved to the United States.
William and Harry were last seen in public together at the funeral of Prince Philip, their grandfather, in 2021.
The couple had been in Britain on a brief visit when the queen, Britain’s longest reigning monarch, died on Thursday.
