After Israel And The US Bombed Iran, Iran Retaliated By Bombing Israel And Arab Countries With US Military Bases
Iran struck Israel and many US bases in the region, including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Oman.
After the US and Israel launched joint unprovoked attacks on Iran, Iran bombed Israeli and US bases in Gulf countries in retaliation.
On Saturday, Feb. 28, US president Donald Trump announced Israel and the US are launching a “major combat operation” in Iran to “obliterate” Iran’s nuclear ambitions and for a regime change.
US missiles, drones and Israeli fighter jets targeted more than 500 sites across Iran, including Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, Kermanshah and Qom.
Iran's Red Crescent said the strikes killed at least 201 people, 100 children in a girls’ school, and injured 747 others by late Saturday.
The strikes also killed Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
In retaliation, Iran struck Israel and many US bases in the region, including the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Oman.
Iran’s strike hit northern Israel, killing at least eight people and causing damage and destruction in some areas despite Israel’s defense system, the Iron Dome.
In the UAE, one person was killed and at least 11 people were injured due to debris from intercepted missiles, with both Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports hit and a hotel caught fire.
In Bahrain, Iran targeted the headquarters of the US Navy’s 5th Fleet in the capital, Manama.
Videos online also showed an Iranian drone hitting a tower block located near the headquarters, setting the building on fire.
In Kuwait, the al-Salem Air Base came under attack by a number of ballistic missiles, all of which were intercepted.
In Qatar, the Defense Ministry said it intercepted “all missiles” before they reached the country’s territory, according to Al Jazeera.
In Saudi Arabia, Iran hit Riyadh and the eastern region with strikes.
In Iraq, Erbil Airport in the Kurdish region of northern Iraq was targeted twice .
In Oman, which was a mediator in talks between Iran and the US, an oil tanker was attacked off Oman’s Duqm port.
Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it had fully closed the Strait of Hormuz, where nearly 20% of the world’s oil is transported, to international navigation.
