After The Ceasefire, Iran’s Supreme Leader Said It Had Delivered "A Hard Slap" To The US’ Face
Khamenei said that Israel was "nearly brought to its knees and crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic."

In his first speech after the ceasefire between Iran and Israel, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the country had delivered "a hard slap" to the face of the US and will never surrender.
Khamenei's address came two days after US president Donald Trump announced on his platform Truth Social that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire on Tuesday, June 24 after 12 days of war.
In his address, Khamenei said that Iran had triumphed over the "fake Zionist regime", adding that Israel was "nearly brought to its knees and crushed under the blows of the Islamic Republic."
He also said that Iran had achieved a victory over the US. "The American regime entered the war directly because it felt that, if it didn’t, the Zionist regime would be completely annihilated. It entered the war to save [Israel], but gained nothing from this war," he said.
Khamenei also hailed Iran's strikes on the US' military base in Qatar, the Al Udeid air base, on Sunday, June 22, saying that it was significant.
He added that the event could likely be repeated in the future, saying that the cost will be high if the enemy attacks Iran again.
The ceasefire appeared to be holding as of Thursday, June 26, despite both sides accusing each other of violating it in the early hours of the agreement taking place.
