Israel’s far-right security minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has been recorded taunting the hundreds of international activists illegally abducted by Israel after it intercepted most of the boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla as it neared Gaza.

A video shared on social media showed the activists sitting on the ground as Ben-Gvir called them “flotilla terrorists” and “supporters of murderers.”

He was also filmed going into one of the flotilla ships seized by Israel and claimed that there was no humanitarian aid.

The Global Sumud Flotilla, the largest civilian fleet of mostly small boats, had left from Barcelona, Spain, on Aug. 31, carrying activists including Sweden’s Greta Thunberg and Nelson Mandela's grandson, Mandla Mandela, to break Israel’s siege on Gaza.

Israeli forces had intercepted at least 39 boats from the Global Sumud Flotilla between Wednesday, Oct. 1, and Thursday, Oct. 2, with the live tracker showing 13 boats “intercepted” and the rest of the boats “assumed intercepted” as the tracker stopped.

Israeli soldiers kidnapped and detained dozens of activists, with 461 activists now confirmed detained, including Thunberg, and live-streams and communications from the flotilla were cut during the operation.

On Oct. 3, it also intercepted the Marinette, the last ship that was still livestreaming and on the way to Gaza.
