Israel Has Launched Deadly Attacks Across Gaza Again, Killing 24 People In Just One Day
Many of the airstrikes happened near refugee camps, and Israel said it “regrets any harm caused to uninvolved civilians.”
Israel has launched large-scale bombings across Gaza again, killing more than 24 Palestinians, including several children, in just one day during the “ceasefire”.
On Wednesday, Feb. 4, Israel launched one of its deadliest attacks across Gaza’s north and south since the “ceasefire” began on Oct. 10, 2025.
In north Gaza, Israel’s attacks on Gaza City’s Tuffah and Zeitoun neighborhoods killed at least 14 people.
At least five of those killed were from the same family, including two parents, their 10-day-old daughter Wateen Khabbaz, her 5-month-old cousin, Mira Khabbaz, and the children’s grandmother, according to AP.
"While we were sleeping in our house, the tank shelled us and the shells hit our house, our children were martyred - my son was martyred, my brother's son and daughter were martyred ... We have nothing to do with anything, we are peaceful people," a family relative told Reuters during his family funeral at Al-Shifa hospital.
In Khan Younis, Israel killed six people, including four people in an attack on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians, and two more people, including paramedic Hussein Al-Samiri who rushed to help the injured in a second strike on the same location in al-Mawasi area, according to Al Jazeera.
The Israeli military said its attacks were in retaliation to an attack on an Israeli reserve officer who was severely injured near the so-called ”yellow line” controlled by Israel”, according to Reuters.
It said it had targeted and killed two Hamas commanders allegedly responsible for an attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz on Oct. 7, 2023, as well as an Islamic Jihad commander.
Family members of the Islamic Jihad commander confirmed his death along with that of his 11-year-old daughter, according to Reuters.
Many of the airstrikes happened near refugee camps, and Israel said it “regrets any harm caused to uninvolved civilians.”
Israel has violated the “ceasefire” over 1,520 times since it began on Oct. 10, 2025, killing more than 574 Palestinians.
