Israel Bombed Iran’s State TV During A Live Broadcast As They Keep Attacking Each Other
Israel has bombed Iran’s state TV during a live broadcast on June 16, causing explosions and smoke as the anchor was seen running off-screen after the blast.

Israel has bombed Iran’s state TV during a live broadcast as the two countries keep attacking each other.
Israel and Iran have fired dozens of missiles at each other after Israel launched a large-scale, unprovoked attack on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities on Friday, June 13.
On the fourth day of fighting between the two countries on Monday, June 16, Israel launched an airstrike, targeting the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in Tehran.
The attack disrupted the live transmission while TV anchor Sahar Emami was on air, causing explosions and smoke with Emami seen running after the blast.
Another IRIB reported that some of their colleagues were injured or killed but they did not know how many.
The attack happened shortly after Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz threatened to attack the district in Tehran where IRIB’s headquarters is located, saying “the Iranian propaganda and incitement mouthpiece is on its way to disappear.”
The Israeli military claimed that IRIB’s building is used as a communications centre by Iran’s armed forces, according to Reuters.
Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman called the strike a “wicked act” and a war crime, adding that Israel is the number one “killer of journalists and media people,” Al Jazeera reported.
Israel has killed at least 224 people in Iran and injured 1,200 others since it began its strikes on the country on Friday, according to Iran’s health ministry.
