Israel Is Now Bombing Syria Too, Killing 10 People Alongside Its Attacks On Gaza, Lebanon And Yemen
Israel has been attacking Syria for years, claiming its attacking Iran proxies, but it has intensified its attacks since Oct. 7 2023.
Israel launched an airstrike on a residential building in the west of Syria’s capital, Damascus, on Tuesday, Oct. 8, expanding the war even further in the Middle East alongside its genocide in Gaza and attacks on Lebanon.
The Syrian government said that three missiles launched from the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights hit the Mezzah neighborhood in Damascus, a densely populated area, according to the Syrian National News Agency SANA.
The attack killed 10 people, including four women, four children and two men and injured 11 others, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
It also caused grave property damage in the surrounding area, according to the government.
The Syrian government condemned the attack calling it a “brutal crime” against unarmed civilians and an expansion of “Israel’s genocide in Gaza and Lebanon”.
Israel has been attacking Syria for years, claiming its attacking Iran proxies, but it has intensified its attacks since Oct.7 2023.
Since January 2024, it has targeted Syria at least 104 times, killing at least 296 people, according to SOHR.
