The WHO Said Israel Bombed One Of Its Warehouses In Gaza And Stripped And Interrogated Its Workers At Gunpoint

Israeli forces have bombed one of the World Health Organization (WHO) facilities in Gaza, severely damaging the staff residence and main medical warehouse and interrogating its workers at gunpoint.
The WHO said the Israeli attack on its main warehouse in Deir al-Balah on Monday, July 21, caused a fire and extensive destruction, endangering staff and their families, including children, who were sheltering inside.
The Israeli military also entered the residence and forced women and children to evacuate on foot toward Al Mawasi, and handcuffed, stripped and interrogated male staff and their relatives at gunpoint, the WHO said in its statement.
Two WHO staff and two of their family members were also detained by Israeli forces, with three released and one staff member still in custody.
WHO condemned the attack and said it is appalled by the dangerous conditions under which humanitarians and health workers are forced to operate.
Israel has killed more than 408 aid workers in Gaza, including UN staff and civil defense teams since Oct. 7, 2023.
