Israel Bombed Gaza’s Nasser Hospital Again, Launching A Double-Tap Strike That Killed Five More Journalists

This is the deadliest period for journalists since the Committee to Protect Journalists began gathering data in 1992.

Israel has targeted the Nasser Hospital again, the only working general hospital in southern Gaza, in a double-tap strike that killed at least 20 people, including five journalists.

The journalists were Reuters journalists Hussam al-Masri and Ahmed Abu Aziz, freelance journalist Mariam Abu Daqqa, who worked with several media outlets, including The Independent Arabic and AP, Mohammed Salama, Al Jazeera photojournalist, and NBC journalist Moaz Abu Taha.

Israel has now killed at least 246 journalists in Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, according to Gaza’s media office.

This is the deadliest period for journalists since the Committee to Protect Journalists began gathering data in 1992.
