ISRAEL HAS RESUMED ITS GENOCIDE IN GAZA, KILLING OVER 400 PEOPLE IN UNDER 24 HOURS

Israel has resumed its genocide in Gaza, killing more than 404 people in less than 24 hours, unilaterally ending the nearly two-month-long ceasefire.

On Tuesday, March 18, at 2 am local time in Gaza, Israel launched “extensive airstrikes” across the Gaza Strip, including in Khan Younis, Rafah in southern Gaza, Gaza City in the north and central areas like Deir el-Balah, Al Jazeera reported.

Videos shared from Gaza showed people rushing the bodies of the killed and injured to the hospitals after civilians' homes were bombed.

Parents and relatives struggled to identify their killed loved ones, with most of the killed being children, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.

Israel has refused to implement phase two of the ceasefire, which was supposed to begin on March 1, saying that Hamas must now accept a new US deal that would involve extending phase one of the ceasefire by 50 days and Hamas releasing all the Israeli hostages.

After Hamas refused and insisted on sticking to the original deal, Israel cut off all aid, including, food, water, medicine and fuel, as well as electricity to Gaza, which is now under a full blockade.

Israel is now also blocking all medical evacuations from Gaza.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said in a statement that Israel will from now act with “increasing military strength” until Hamas releases all the remaining Israeli hostages.

“The IDF is, at this time, attacking targets of the Hamas terrorist organization throughout the Gaza Strip in order to achieve the objectives of the war as they have been determined by the political echelon including the release of all of our hostages, the living and the deceased,” the statement said.

Hamas called Israel’s attacks are a unilateral cancelation of the ceasefire, according to Al Jazeera.

“Netanyahu and his extremist government are making a decision to overturn the ceasefire agreement, exposing prisoners in Gaza to an unknown fate,” Hamas said.

Since the ceasefire began on Jan. 19, Israel has been killing an average of three Palestinians in Gaza every day, according to the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor.

Deliberately depriving civilians of access to objects indispensable to their survival is a war crime under international humanitarian law, particularly when it involves starving civilians as a method of warfare.
