Israel Has Bombed Gaza Again Despite The "Ceasefire," Killing 32 Palestinians In 24 Hours
Israel has violated the ceasefire at least 393 times and killed more than 312 Palestinians since it began.
Israel has launched a new round of attacks on Gaza despite the “ceasefire”, killing at least 32 people in one of its deadliest attacks on Gaza since the “ceasefire” began on Oct. 10.
On Wednesday, Nov. 19, Israeli forces launched several strikes on Gaza City and Khan Younis at night, claiming it attacked “Hamas targets” in response to gunmen opening fire towards an area where Israeli troops were operating in Khan Younis.
“The [Israeli army] will continue to act forcefully to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel,” it said.
Gaza’s media office reported Israel's attacks killed 32 Palestinians in 24 hours, including 12 children and eight women, and injured 88 others.
Of those, about 17 people were killed in Khan Younis, including five women and five children, after four Israeli airstrikes targeted tents sheltering displaced people, according to the Guardian.
In Gaza City, Israel launched two airstrikes, killing about 16 people, including seven children and three women.
Meanwhile, Israel has reported no casualties among its troops.
Hamas called Israel’s attacks a “shocking massacre” and denied firing toward Israeli troops.
Israel has violated the ceasefire at least 393 times and killed more than 312 Palestinians since it began.
The latest escalation in Israel’s violations came after the UN Security Council approved a US-drafted resolution to authorize the establishment of a transitional administration called the board of peace and the creation of an international stabilization force that also includes the establishment of a “credible pathway to Palestinian self-determination and statehood.”
