Japanese Men Are Groping And Upskirting Underage Girl Characters At Ghibli Park And It’s Disgusting
Men are seen taking upskirt photos and groping the breast of underaged Studio Ghibli anime characters.
Photos of men sexually harassing statues of underage girl characters at the newly opened Ghibli Park in Japan have gone viral on social media, sparking anger.
The photos showed different men taking upskirt photos of a statue of 12-year-old Marnie from “When Marnie Was There” and groping the breast of Therru, a 17-year-old girl character from “Tales from Earthsea”.
Ghibli Park, a theme park dedicated to Studio Ghibli’s famous animated films such as “Spirited Away” and “My Neighbor Totoro”, opened in Aichi Prefecture in November 2022 after years of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In February, photos of the men pretending to sexually assault statues of girls at the theme park started spreading online, angering fans.

People are demanding authorities bring the men to justice and prevent such behavior happening again.
“Frankly speaking, posting photos like that on social media is very inappropriate,” the governor of Aichi Prefecture said at a press conference on March 9. “From adults to children, people go to Ghibli Park to enter the Ghibli world and enjoy themselves.”
“This is basically destruction of property,” the governor said, adding it was just like the recent scandal of people sabotaging conveyor belt sushi restaurants in Japan.
The indecent photos have since been deleted, but Aichi authorities say they will take legal action if the men are identified.
