Spanish Actor Javier Bardem Showed Celebrities How To Use Their Platform For Gaza And Put Everyone To Shame
"It’s a genocide taking place in front of our eyes in 4K," Bardem said.

Oscar-winning Spanish actor Javier Bardem called out Israel’s war in Gaza as a "genocide" that people need to denounce.
At the premiere of his latest film, “F1: The Movie” on Monday, June 16, Bardem said in an interview with Variety that while celebrating fiction and movies, he could not ignore the "real world" tragedy unfolding in Gaza.
"It’s a genocide taking place in front of our eyes in 4K," Bardem said.
He then called on the US to stop its support for Israel, saying, "American support has to stop. Financing bombs that are killing so many thousands of children."
Bardem also urged Western European countries to move beyond words and take concrete actions, including cutting ties with Israel.
Beyond his support for Palestine on the red carpet, he also appeared on Monday on the US talk show The View, where he said he "suffers on a daily basis" when witnessing images of Palestinian children being murdered by Israel as it commits a genocide.
He called out the controversial US-backed humanitarian aid agency, Gaza Humanitarian Foundation GHF, calling it the “Hunger Games,” when Palestinian civilians trying to reach aid are repeatedly targeted and killed by Israeli forces.
Since GHF began aid distribution in Gaza on May 27, Israel has killed more than 397 Palestinians trying to reach aid and injured at least 3,031 others.
Bardem has a long history of supporting Palestine and calling Israel’s actions a genocide even before Oct. 7, 2023.
