London has held the world’s first ever “no makeup” beauty pageant.
The 2023 Miss London pageant judged women on their natural beauty, work, studies and values.
The organizers said they wanted women to feel “empowered in their own skin and boost confidence”.
26-year-old dental nurse Natasha Beresford took home the title of Miss London on Sep. 29.
Beresford often volunteers with dental charities and has provided care to more than 1,300 patients.
She will now go on to compete at Miss England 2023.
Last year, 20-year-old Melisa Raouf, who won Miss London in 2022, chose to compete at Miss England without make up and finished fourth.
Raouf said she wanted to redefine beauty standards by promoting inner beauty, and to prove that women have a choice.
