American actor Mark Ruffalo called out what’s happening in the US “not normal” during an interview at the 83rd Golden Globes, referring to the murder of 37-year-old Renee Nicole Good by an ICE agent, adding he can’t be quiet or bullshit.

During an interview with USA Today on the Golden Globes’ red carpet on Sunday, Jan. 11, the 58-year-old was asked about the meaning of the “BE GOOD” pin he was wearing.

“This is for Renee Nicole Good, who was murdered,” Ruffalo told USA Today.

Ruffalo and multiple celebrities wore “BE GOOD” and “ICE OUT” pins to honor Good, who an ICE agent shot in the head three times, killing her during an immigration enforcement operation in Minneapolis on Jan. 7.

Ruffalo said that he and a lot of Americans are feeling scared and terrorized by what’s happening in the US.

He said he is proud to have a Golden Globes nomination, but can’t celebrate or feel festive, adding that he has to use this platform to send a message that what’s happening is “not normal,” and he can’t be quiet or bullshit.

He also slammed out US vice president JD Vance for defending the shooting as self-defense, saying Vance is “lying.”

Ruffalo went on to call out Trump’s US military operation in Venezuela and the abduction of its president Nicolás Maduro, saying it is an illegal invasion.

“[Trump] is telling the world that international law doesn’t matter to him. The only thing that matters to him is his own morality. But the guy is a convicted felon or a convicted rapist. He's a pedophile. He's the worst human being,” he said.

Trump was convicted on 34 felony counts for falsifying business records in May 2024 and was also found liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll in 1996, but he was never convicted because it was a civil suit, according to The Independent.

He also had ties to the late American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and appeared in photos with Epstein, with emails claiming Trump "knew about the girls," but denying involvement and has not been charged with a sex crime.

“If we're relying on this guy's morality for the most powerful country in the world, then we're all in a lot of trouble,” Ruffalo added.
