This Thai Pageant Contestant’s Veneers Fell Out But She Handled It Like A Queen And Even Recreated The Moment
The moment went viral, with many people praising how Chanago handled the situation.
A Miss Grand Thailand contestant’s veneer came loose on stage, but she fixed it and kept going like a true queen.
On March 25, 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant Kamalwon Chanago was introducing herself at the Miss Grand Thailand 2026 preliminaries when her veneer slipped, causing her to mumble her words.
Chanago quickly turned around and fixed them, then turned back, donned a smile and walked off stage, finishing with a twirl to show off her dress as if nothing had happened.
The moment went viral, with many people praising how Chanago handled the situation.
“She handled this better than most of us handle a bad hair day. Is this the most iconic pageant moment ever?” one person said, according to Reuters.
“How embarrassing. I would die. It's so impressive she carried on like nothing had happened,” another added.
During the final on March 28, Chanago then made a cheeky reference to the incident.
Chanago held her veneer in one hand, placed it back in her mouth and introduced herself, “Kamalwon Chanago, Miss Grand Pathum Thani!”, drawing applause from the audience.
A total of 77 women competed in the 2026 Miss Grand Thailand pageant, with Pattama Jitsawat from the Chonburi province winning and set to represent Thailand at the 2026 Miss Grand International pageant in India.
