This Model And Former Miss Switzerland Finalist Was Murdered And Blended Into A “Puree” By Her Husband
An autopsy, however, contradicted this and revealed that Joksimovic was strangled before her body was dismembered.
This model and former Miss Switzerland finalist was murdered and blended into a “puree” by her husband and people are outraged.
38-year-old Kristina Joksimovic was found dead in her home in Binningen in February.
Her husband, Thomas, was arrested a day later and initially told police that he had found her dead in the laundry room, panicked then dismembered her.
He later said he had killed her in self-defense as she was attacking him with a knife.
An autopsy, however, contradicted this and revealed that Joksimovic was strangled before her body was dismembered.
It found that her husband, with whom she has two children, dismembered her using a wide range of tools, put the parts in a blender then dissolved them in a chemical solution, local media reported.
Joksimovic's husband had appealed to be released from custody, but a court rejected his request on Wednesday, Sep. 11.
Joksimovic was crowned Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2003 and was a finalist in the Miss Switzerland competition in 2007.
She had married Thomas in 2017, and they had two daughters together.
A woman is killed every 2.5 weeks in Switzerland due to attacks by intimate partners or domestic violence, according to Swiss government data from 2021.
