The Crown Prince Of Morocco Refuses To Let People Kiss His Hand And Avoids It In The Most Brilliant Way
“Too low too slow…”
Prince Moulay Hassan of Morocco has made headlines after a recent clip of him doing everything to avoid officials trying to kiss his hand went viral.
The video, which first surfaced in late 2024, showed the 21-year-old royal shaking hands with a row of officials and swiftly moving his hand away to avoid them from kissing it.
Kissing the hands of royals is a customary greeting in Morocco, but it is not mandatory. People also greet royals with shoulder kisses or handshakes.
The prince, who is the first son of King Mohammed VI, is known for his apparent dislike for hand kisses.
He also went viral when he was just 12, for avoiding officials and military personnel from kissing his hand in a similar manner in 2016.
“This guy is undefeated at the Red Hands/Hand Slap game, bet,” a person on Reddit wrote.
“Too low too slow…” another person on Reddit said.
Back in 2020, Moroccan judges banned officials from kissing King Mohammed VI’s hand to protect him from coronavirus, according to The New Arab.
