Speaking On Oct. 7, Netanyahu Said Israelis Are "The Eternal People" Who "Spread Good And Eradicate Evil"
“As long as the enemy threatens our existence and the peace of our country, we will continue to fight," said the Israeli Prime Minister.
In a speech marking one year since Hamas’ surprise attack on Israel on Oct. 7, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to “keep fighting” until victory and promised he would not give up.
Speaking in a pre-recorded televised address on Monday, Oct. 7, Netanyahu said, “As long as the enemy threatens our existence and the peace of our country, we will continue to fight.”
“As long as our hostages are still in Gaza, we will continue to fight. I will not give up. We will continue to fight, and united—we will win,” he added.
“On October 7th, we were all hurled into a critical battle, but we were not defeated. On the contrary, it is we who are acting to defeat and deter our enemies,” he said.
Netanyahu also emphasized that Israel is fighting not just for now, but for the future of the next generation.
He described Israel as an “eternal people” and said that its genocide in Gaza aimed at “bringing light to this world, that aspires to spread good and eradicate evil.”
During the speech, Netanyahu also referred to Hamas as “monsters” who “murdered and kidnapped babies and children, adults and old people.”
He once again reiterated Israel’s war goals; to dismantle Hamas, free the hostages, bring back displaced Israelis from the north and south, and “eliminate any future threat from Gaza.”
Meanwhile, just a day after his Oct 7. Speech, Netanyahu called on the people of Lebanon to stand up and take the country back from Hezbollah and “restore Lebanon to its days of tranquility”.
It was on Oct. 7 when Israel began its genocide in Gaza, and since then, it has killed at least 42,010 Palestinians, mostly women and children.
