Netanyahu Is Now Threatening To Seize Parts Of Gaza If Hamas Does Not Release Hostages
Speaking at the Israeli parliament, Netanyahu said if Hamas refuses to release the hostages, Israel will exert “more powerful repression”.

Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu is threatening to seize territories in Gaza if Hamas does not release the remaining hostages after Israel unilaterally ended the ceasefire on March 18 by launching massive airstrikes on Gaza and killing more than 404 Palestinians in less than 24 hours.
Speaking at the Israeli parliament, the Knesset, on Wednesday, March 26, Netanyahu said if Hamas refuses to release the hostages, Israel will exert “more powerful repression”.
This includes seizing territory and it includes other things that I'm not going to specify here,” he said.
This comes after Israel refused to implement phase two of the ceasefire deal, which was supposed to begin on March 1, saying that Hamas must now accept a US deal that that was not part of the original ceasefire deal and would involve extending phase one of the ceasefire by 50 days and Hamas releasing all the Israeli hostages.
Hamas warned to return the hostages in "coffins" if Israel attempts to retrieve captives by force and continues its bombardment of the Gaza Strip, Asharq Al-Awsat reported.
It said it was "doing everything possible to keep the occupation’s captives alive, but the random Zionist (Israeli) bombardment is endangering their lives."
Netanyahu also said that “more Gazans understand that Hamas brings destruction and doom upon them” referring to the protests happening for the first time in Beit Lahia in north Gaza against Hamas, the militant group that has ruled the territory for nearly 17 years, and calling for an end to the war.
Since Israel resumed its genocide in Gaza in March. 18, it has killed at least 855 Palestinians, many of whom are women and children.
