Netanyahu Told People In Lebanon To “Free” Themselves From Hezbollah Or Face “Destruction Like In Gaza”
During his address on Tuesday, Oct. 8, the Israeli Prime Minister also repeated that Israel has a right to defend itself and promised that Israel will win.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned the people of Lebanon that their country could face "destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza" if it does not “free” itself from Hezbollah.
“You have an opportunity to save Lebanon before it falls into the abyss of a long war that will lead to destruction and suffering like we see in Gaza,” Netanyahu said in a video message on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
“I say to you, the people of Lebanon: Free your country from Hezbollah so that this war can end,” Netanyahu said.“Free your country from Hezbollah, so future generations of Lebanese and Israeli children will know neither war nor bloodshed but will finally live together in peace.”
During his address, Netanyahu also repeated that Israel has a right to defend itself and promised that Israel will win.
He claimed that Israel has not only killed Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah but also“Nasrallah’s replacement, and the replacement of his replacement.”
In addition, Netanyahu emphasized that Hezbollah is now weaker than it has been in years.
His message comes as Israel continues heavily bombing Beirut’s southern suburbs and other cities across Lebanon, launching one of the most intense Israeli air strikes on Lebanon since it started what it called a “new phase” of its war at the end of September
The Israeli military has also issued evacuation orders for residents of southern Beirut, and it is also expanding its ground raids in Southern Lebanon.
Since it began its genocide in Gaza, Israel has killed at least 42,010 Palestinians and besieged everything, including homes, schools, hospitals, shelters, and even safe zones.
