These Palestinian Girls Performed A Song About Israel's Occupation And It's Heartwarming And Heartbreaking
“I am a little Palestinian girl still in the prime of my life... A few criminals came to our town. They took my father and killed my brother. Then they said the land is theirs."
In a video that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time, a group of Palestinian girls in a displacement camp in Deir Al-Balah city in Gaza have gone viral for singing and dancing a song about Israel’s occupation of Palestine.
A video shared on April 30 shows a group of girls singing and dancing to a Palestinian song about a young girl who tells the story of her occupied homeland of Palestine and how Israel’s occupation has terrorized its people, the young and the old.
“I am a little Palestinian girl still in the prime of my life. My heart is good with pure intention,” the song lyrics read.
“A few criminals came to our town. They took my father and killed my brother. Then they said the land is theirs,” the girls chanted.
Then the occupier claimed that it was his land, and when its people defended it, the occupation incriminated them.
“A shock that my eyes weep. I scream, why? What have I done? No one answered me, but it’s written on the house door Zionists passed through here.”
“From my frustration, I picked up a stone and threw it, even though I am not strong.”
“Listen to my voice, humanity. There are many like me. When will we see freedom?”
