Thousands Of Paris Saint-Germain Fans Protested For Gaza At The Euros Final In Germany
On Saturday, May 31, fans unfurled a large banner reading “Stop genocide in Gaza” inside the stadium, with many fans waving Palestinian flags, wearing keffiyehs and displaying other Palestinian symbols.

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football fans showed their solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza, demanding to stop Israel’s genocide, during the UEFA Euro Champions League final in Munich, Germany.
On Saturday, May 31, fans unfurled a large banner reading “Stop genocide in Gaza” inside the stadium, with many fans waving Palestinian flags, wearing keffiyehs and displaying other Palestinian symbols shortly after player Achraf Hakimi scored the opening goal in PSG’s eventual 5-0 victory over Inter Milan.
Before the match, hundreds of PSG supporters also marched through the streets of Munich, chanting “We are all the children of Gaza” and carrying Palestinian flags.
The German government is one of Israel’s biggest allies and has been defending Israel’s right to self-defense throughout its genocide in Gaza, and Israel’s flag is displayed in Munich city hall as a sign of support.
UEFA regulations prohibit political messages inside or near stadiums before, during and after matches, with financial penalties typically around US$11,400 for a first offense.
However, PSG fans have a history of showing solidarity with Palestine, including displaying a huge “Free Palestine” banner during a Champions League match against Atlético Madrid in November 2024.
The latest demonstration in Munich comes as Israel is intensifying its military operations in Gaza to fully take over and occupy it, killing more than 54,470 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023.
At the same time, it's conducting a campaign of “weaponizing aid” after blocking it for more than 80 days, then allowing only a “basic” amount of aid through the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), a controversial organization backed by Israel and the US, according to Reuters.
