The global wave of Gen Z protests has now reached Peru, where thousands of young people have taken to the streets to protest government corruption, rising job insecurity and crime.

“We will continue marching and protesting. Because we’re tired of this being normalized. Since when did we accept people dying? Since when did we accept so much corruption and extortion?“ a Peruvian protester told Reuters.
