Prince William Was Spotted Zooming Around Windsor Castle On An Electric Scooter And It’s Too Funny

A video of Prince William riding an electric scooter to Windsor Castle has fans around the world saying it is too funny.

In a TikTok video, the 42-year-old Prince of Wales, dressed in a blue sweater, white collared shirt, and black sunglasses, can be seen whizzing past a security guard on an electric scooter on the Windsor Castle estate.

The date of the video is unknown, but it was shared on TikTok by @ashleyxue_  on Thursday, July 4, with the caption, "POV: you need to use the bathroom but it's on the other side of your castle."

Angela, Ashley's sister, later reposted the same video with another caption, “Happy Fourth of July from Prince William on a scooter,” she wrote.

Angela’s video has since gained more than 4.5 million views and is now being shared on many social media platforms, including Instagram and X.

People on social media shared their views on the future King's scootering skills, with many finding Prince's "dad energy" amusing.

“IM CRYING IMAGINE BEING A CASTLE GUARD AND YOU JUST SEE THE HEIR TO THE THRONE ZOOM PAST YOU ON A SCOOTER,” one viewer wrote.

“Prince William is definitely the COOLEST PRINCE EVER!!,” another person said.

“The Prince of Wheels. You are Prince and you drive an electric scooter around Windsor,” another person wrote.

This is perhaps the first occasion that Prince William has been seen riding an electric scooter, following a report in The Sun in 2023 that he had purchased an e-scooter for £6,000 to visit his father, King Charles, whenever he wants to.

“It just makes sense. He whizzes up to the castle when he needs to see the King. It’s a two or three-mile round trip from his family home at Adelaide Cottage to Windsor Castle so it’s easier by scooter than car or walking,” a source told the Sun at the time.

Prince William, his wife Kate Middleton, and their three children –Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis –currently reside in Adelaide Cottage, which is located within Windsor Home Park.

The 655-acre estate is part of the private grounds of Windsor Castle and is a 10-minute ride from the castle.

Aside from his interest in electric scooters, Prince William is well-known for his passion for motorbikes, which he reportedly put “on the back burner” after becoming a father a few years ago.

Earlier, Prince William also went viral with a video of him dancing to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” during her Eras Tour concert at Wembley Stadium. The video garnered more than 18 million views, with people online gushing over his dancing skills and his candor about being a Swiftie.
