RM And V From BTS Have Finally Concluded Their Military Service And Fans Celebrated Their Return
“To all the ARMYs who waited for us during our service — I’m truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer; we’ll return with an amazing performance,”

K-pop superstar RM and V from South Korean boy band BTS, have officially fulfilled their mandatory military service on Monday, June 9.
Hundreds of fans gathered outside the military base on Tuesday, June 10, to show their support and welcome the members back.
RM, the group’s leader and main rapper, served in the military band, while V had joined the Special Task Force of the Capital Defense Command, known for its competitive selection and intense training.
Their discharge comes just one day ahead of those of fellow members Jimin and Jungkook, who are also set to complete their service on June 11, perfectly timed ahead of BTS’ 12th anniversary of their debut on June 13.
All four members enlisted in December 2023, and their return marks a major step toward BTS’ long-awaited reunion, making this an emotional week for both the group and fans around the world.
Shortly after their discharge, V expressed his gratitude to fans, saying, “To all the ARMYs who waited for us during our service — I’m truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer; we’ll return with an amazing performance,” according to local media reports.
The group is expected to reunite later this month, following the return of the seventh and final member, Suga, who is currently completing his alternative service as a social service agent.
