This South Korean Air Pistol Shooter Has Big "Main Character Energy" And People Are Obsessed

People have become obsessed with South Korean air pistol shooter Kim Yeji after a video showing her competing went viral.

In the video shared on X, 31-year-old Kim can be seen sporting a cap backwards, with one hand by her pocket while casually shooting with her other.

“The most ‘Main Character Energy’ I’ve ever seen in my life,” the person who shared the viral post wrote on X.

The video was from the International Shooting Sport Federation’s World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, on May 10 and showed Kim breaking the 25m world record.

Kim’s World Cup win solidified her spot in the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she competed on Saturday, July 28 in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol and won silver.

Kim once again sported the coolest stance, but this time with her daughter’s elephant doll dangling from her fingers.



“Same post. Same aura. Insane,” another person wrote on X.

The South Korean sharpshooter will be defending her world record on Friday, Aug. 2 in the Women’s 25m Air Pistol in Paris.
