A Lost Cat In Thailand Got Brought Into The Police Station But Kept Biting The Officers So They Arrested Her
Nub Tang was "charged" with assaulting police officers and "detained" at the station.

Thai police “arrested” a mischievous silver American Shorthair that bit multiple officers who were trying to help find its owner.

The cat, named Nub Tang — which translates to “counting money” in Thai — was brought to the Bangkok police station, wearing a pink lace harness by a concerned citizen, on May 9, according to the South China Morning Post.

An officer shared on Facebook that police had welcomed Nub Tang with food, toys and a cozy space.
However, Nub Tang quickly became feisty, scratching and biting multiple officers.

Faced with the very serious situation, police decided to treat it as a “criminal case”.
Nub Tang was "charged" with assaulting police officers and "detained" at the station.

The officer documented the arrest procedures in a viral Facebook post: catching the suspect, detaining it, taking a paw print identification, snapping an official mugshot and locking it up.

She also shared the police report from her point of view: “I was just hungry. I did not mean to bite anyone,” and signed the statement with two paw prints.

The officer, an ardent animal lover, has reportedly rescued 20 stray cats and six dogs.

People offered to adopt Nub Tang, but he stressed that their main goal was to return it to its owner.

One day after the incident, Nub Tang was safely returned to its owner.
