Trump Is Now Saying "Nobody Is Expelling Any Palestinians" After He Wanted To Ethnically Cleanse Gaza
Trump had openly called for ethnic cleansing in Gaza during a meeting with Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Weeks after he openly called for ethnic cleansing in Gaza, US President Donald Trump has now said that "nobody is expelling any Palestinians."
Trump made the comments on Wednesday, March 12, during an interview with Ireland's prime minister Micheál Martin, who was visiting Trump ahead of the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration.
During the joint interview, a reporter asked Martin if he planned to discuss Trump's plan to expel Palestinians out of Gaza as Ireland has staunchly supported Palestine throughout Israel's genocide and was one of the three European countries that recognized Palestine as a state, along with Norway and Spain.
Before Martin could reply, Trump interjected and said, "Nobody is expelling any Palestinians," before proceeding to ask the reporter which media outlet she was from.
When the reporter replied that she was with Voice of America, Trump scoffed and said, "Oh, no wonder," before moving onto the next question.
During their meeting, Martin called for increased humanitarian aid to Gaza and called for a ceasefire and the release of the hostages.
However, Martin only offered "gentle pushback" to some of Trump's comments, saying that Trump is "very well suited to know the whole situation" in Gaza and that Ireland "shared the president's unrelenting voice of peace."
Each year, the Irish Taoiseach — the prime minister — typically travels to Washington, D.C., to meet with the US President and present a bowl of shamrocks as a symbol of friendship.
Hamas said it welcomed Trump's comments if they represent him retreating from the idea of displacing the people of the Gaza Strip.
“We call for this position to be reinforced by obligating the Israeli occupation to implement all the terms of the ceasefire agreements,” a Hamas spokesperson said.
