Yemen's Houthis Retaliated And Launched A Drone Attack On Israel, Injuring 50 People
The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in response to Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Yemen’s Houthis have launched a drone attack on Israel, injuring at least 50 people, including three seriously.
The Israeli military said the drone struck the southern city of Eilat on Wednesday, Sept. 24, after its air defenses failed to intercept it.
The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack, saying it was in response to Israel's ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has killed more than 65,427 Palestinians, and the Israeli attacks and aggression on Yemen.
The Houthis, an armed group backed by Iran that controls most of Yemen, have repeatedly launched missiles and drones at Israel since Oct. 7, 2023, as well as at commercial and military ships in the Red Sea.
In May 2025, the group announced a “comprehensive” aerial blockade on Israel in addition to its naval blockade.
The Houthis’ latest attack came after Israel bombed Yemen’s capital, Sanaa, and al-Jawf, killing at least 46 people, including 11 women and five children, and injured more than 165 others.
The strikes also hit the offices of two newspapers – 26 September and Al-Yemen — killing 25 journalists, according to Drop Site News.
In August, Israel also killed Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi, the prime minister of Yemen’s Houthi-led government, along with several other government ministers in an airstrike.
