Zelenskyy Met Trump Again And The Reporter Who Criticized Him For Not Wearing A Suit Apologized

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with US President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss efforts to end the war with Russia, but it was Zelenskyy’s suit that drew the most attention.
During the meeting on Monday, Aug. 18, White House correspondent for Real America's Voice Brian Glenn complimented Zelensky, saying, "President Zelensky, you look fabulous in that suit."
This comes after Glenn had mocked Zelensky for not wearing a traditional suit and criticized his military-style clothing during a meeting in February with Trump and Vice President JD Vance that ended with a huge argument.
Trump joined the conversation, saying, "I said the same thing," adding that Glenn was the one who had attacked Zelensky's outfit in the past.
Glenn apologized to Zelenskyy, saying, “You look wonderful.”
Zelensky then playfully noted that Glenn is wearing the same suit he wore in the last meeting in February.
"You're in the same suit. You see, I’ve changed; you have not."
During the meeting, Trump assured that the US would help guarantee Ukraine's security as part of any peace deal, although details of this assistance were not specified.
Zelenskyy said he was thankful to the US first lady Melania Trump for her efforts to advocate for peace, particularly her letter to Russian President Vladimir Putin urging him to protect children affected by the war.
He also delivered a letter from his wife, Ukraine’s first lady Olena Zelenska, asking Trump to pass it along to the US first lady as a thank-you.
Following their bilateral meeting, European leaders arrived to join a multilateral discussion with Trump and Zelenskyy to support Ukraine and advance efforts to end the war.
This meeting followed Trump’s meeting with Putin in Alaska, which Trump said was "extremely productive" with "many points agreed upon" but they didn’t reach a peace agreement.
Zelenskyy rejected Putin's proposals from the Alaska meeting that included handing over the remaining quarter of its eastern Donetsk region.
European leaders asserted that they would also help guarantee Ukraine's security along with the US.
