This Australian Teen Who Went Missing Has Been Found Dead And People Are Demanding Justice
Police now believe they’ve found Bishop's remains and say her roommates are the main suspects.

Australian teen Pheobe Bishop, who went missing on May 15 in the rural town of Gin Gin near Bundanberg in Queensland state, has been found dead and people are demanding justice.

The 17-year-old was last seen being driven to the airport by her housemates, 34-year-old James Wood and 33-year-old Tanika Bromley.

Bishop was reportedly going to fly to Western Australia to visit her boyfriend, but CCTV later confirmed she never entered the airport.

On May 21, police declared the case suspicious and Wood and Bromley’s vehicle and home crime scenes. They also found items of interest in a national park that were sent for forensic testing.

The car was later spotted with its number plate altered from 414 EW3 to 474 BW8, with a handwritten “NSW” — despite being a Queensland or “QLD” vehicle — and the Hyundai logo transformed to a Toyota logo.

On June 5, police arrested and charged Wood and Bromley for murder and interfering with a corpse.

The next day, human remains that are believed to be Pheobe’s were found near the national park, close to the original search area.

Police say they believe Bishop was murdered and her body was moved multiple times, with evidence possibly being relocated before initial police searches.

Authorities say formal identification of the remains is still ongoing but that they have notified Bishop’s family.

Australia is experiencing what advocates and experts describe as a national crisis in violence against women, with both murder and disappearance rates rising in recent years.
