The match between The Strongest and Nacional Potosi was interrupted for about three minutes before Nacional Potosi player Raul Castro started playing with the dog and carried him off the field.
According to local outlet Pagina Siete, Castro has since said that he is going to adopt the dog after a shelter found it in the center of La Paz.
The dog has been nicknamed “Cachito” by the club’s fans, CBS Sport reported. The Strongest won the game 3-0 in the end.
