Mr. Worldwide Pitbull Has Set A Guinness World Record After 22,000 Of His Fans Wore Bald Caps At His Concert
Pitbull thanked the record-breaking crowd, calling it a “blessing and an honor” to see the Bald-E’s in London.
More than 22,000 Pitbull fans have set a Guinness World Record after wearing bald caps together at his concert in London.
Fans dressing as Pitbull, known as Mr. Worldwide, have become a tradition at his concerts, particularly in the UK.
The trend began around 2021, when a small number of fans started attending his shows dressed like him, before videos of the outfits spread across social media, according to AP.
Speaking to the BBC in June 2025, Pitbull said seeing fans adopt the look felt “deeper than just music.”
“It’s the ultimate trophy to be able to go on stage and see all the hard work that you put into the music,” he said.
“I’ve been in the game for 25 years, and to see every demographic, everybody dressing up at the shows is priceless.”
Pitbull has embraced the trend, calling his fans the “Bald-E’s” and selling official bald caps and a “Mr. Worldwide Kit” through his website.
The idea to turn the fan tradition into a world record began as a joke by British podcaster and content creator Jack Remmington, according to The Guardian.
After Pitbull’s Hyde Park show was announced, Remmington posted a TikTok saying the festival’s huge capacity could be used to break a record for people dressing as Pitbull.
The video went viral, and Remmington later contacted Guinness World Records and appeared on BBC Radio 1 with presenter Greg James.
The pair messaged Pitbull to ask whether he would take part, and the rapper responded with “Dalé,” his signature Spanish catchphrase meaning “go ahead.”
A total of 22,141 people wore bald caps during the US rapper’s headline show at BST Hyde Park on Friday, July 10, setting the record for the largest gathering of people wearing bald caps, according to Guinness World Records.
The crowd had to wear the caps at the same time for one minute, with the caps secured firmly and their hair tucked underneath at the front and top, according to BST Hyde Park.
Fans also dressed in Pitbull’s signature white shirts, black ties and aviator sunglasses, although only the bald cap was required for the record.
Even Pitbull, who is already bald, had to put on a bald cap to be included because the category was specifically for people wearing them, according to The Guardian.
The record attempt took place during temperatures of around 30 celsius in London.
Guinness World Records said the mark to beat was 2,000 people, meaning Pitbull’s fans surpassed it by more than 20,000.
Around 400 volunteers individually checked participants entering and inside the record attempt area.
Drone footage was then examined by 42 counters backstage to verify the final number.
Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Pérez, was presented with an official Guinness World Records certificate.
“I’m speechless. Who would have thought a first-generation Cuban would be record-breaking and record-making?” he said.
Pitbull later thanked the record-breaking crowd, calling it a “blessing and an honor” to see the Bald-E’s in London.
