Dozens Of Countries Walked Out Of Netanyahu’s Speech At The UN To Protest Israel’s Genocide In Gaza
Over 100 diplomats representing more than 50 countries staged a mass walk-out during Netanyahu's speech

Over 100 diplomats representing more than 50 countries staged a mass walk-out during Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech at the 80th United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In the past week, the Palestinian Authority has urged world leaders to walk out during Netanyahu’s speech, calling him a war criminal as he is wanted by the International Criminal Court, Middle East Eye reported.
As Netanyahu approached the podium on Friday, Sept. 26, delegates stood up and filed out of the hall to protest Israel’s ongoing genocide in Gaza, which has killed 65,549 people since Oct. 7, 2023.
Those who left included diplomats from Arab and Muslim-majority countries, along with representatives from parts of Africa, Latin America and Europe.
Iran’s delegation appear to have left behind a collage of Palestinian children killed in Gaza by Israel, which was shown during Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian speech.

Inside the hall, Netanyahu’s supporters clapped and cheered for him during the walk out and as he began speaking.
In his speech, Netanyahu boasted about Israel’s war with Iran, rejected reports that it is committing genocide in Gaza and deliberating starving Palestinians and condemned countries that recognized Palestine as a state, saying they are rewarding terrorism.
