Israel Is Still Violating The "Ceasefire," Bombing Tents In Gaza Sheltering Palestinians And Killing Five People
Israel’s defense minister Israel Katz has said the military will “continue to act forcefully” in Gaza.
Israel is still bombing Gaza despite the “ceasefire,” bombing and killing at least five Palestinians, including two children.
Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Wednesday, Dec. 3, on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians in al-Najaat camp in the Al-Mawasi area, Khan Younis, which it had designated as a “safe zone.”
Witnesses said the initial strike had targeted a tent in al-Mawasi and then strikes were launched near the Kuwait hospital, according to BBC.
The attack set several tents on fire, killing five people: two women aged 46 and 30, a 36-year-old man, and two children, aged eight and 10, and injured at least 32 other people.
Israel also killed two Palestinians in a separate attack on Gaza City on Wednesday.
Israeli forces said it had "struck a Hamas terrorist," claiming the attack was in retaliation for an earlier attack by Hamas members that had injured five Israeli soldiers in an Israeli-controlled area in Rafah.
Israel’s defense minister Israel Katz has said the military will “continue to act forcefully” in Gaza.
Hamas said Israel's actions are barbaric, indiscriminate and another violation of the “ceasefire.”
Israel has killed 366 Palestinians and injured 938 others since the ceasefire began on Oct. 10.
