Israel Is Annihilating North Gaza, Bombing A Residential Complex In Its Latest Attack And Killing 73 People
Besides completely cutting off the north, Israel intensely bombed a residential complex with civilians inside in Beit Lahia city on Oct. 19, leaving at least 87 people killed or missing under the rubble.
Israel is continuing its siege of north Gaza that it started on Oct. 6, claiming it is to stop Hamas from regrouping and rebuilding.
Besides completely cutting off the north from the rest of the strip, Israel intensely bombed a residential complex with civilians inside in Beit Lahia city on Saturday, Oct. 19.
At least 87 people, including women and children, were killed or missing under the rubble and more than 40 people were injured critically, according to Palestine’s Ministry of Health.
Video released by Al Jazeera journalist Anas Al-Sharif showed victims being pulled from under the rubble, most of them children.
The injured were moved to Kamal Adwan Hospital where there is a severe shortage of medical supplies.
Health officials have reported that Kamal Adwan, Al-Awda and the Indonesian hospitals in the area are all nearing collapse, struggling to provide basic care due to the growing number of casualties from the Israeli airstrikes and ground assaults.
Rescue teams were struggling to reach the injured, as Israel has also cut off communications completely in north Gaza since Oct. 19, according to the Palestinian Telecommunications Company (Paltel Group).
More than 400,000 Palestinians are still trapped in north Gaza without access to food, water or medical supplies.
Without a way in or out, videos showed Palestinian families have now been forced to live on the streets after having to flee their homes with nowhere else to go.
