A Far-Right Politician Interrupted This German Woman Lawmaker And She Called Him “More Sensitive Than A Clitoris”

A clip of Germany lawmaker Kathrin Gebel clapping back at a far-right politician who interrupted her speech on violence against women at the Bundestag, Germany’s parliament, is going viral after she called him more sensitive than a clitoris.
In late March, the Bundestag held a debate on violence against women and girls.
During a session about violence against women and girls, Gebel, a member of the left-wing Die Linke party, was criticizing motions put forward by the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD). In its motion, the AfD, which has grown in influence in recent years and campaigns on anti-immigration and nationalist positions, said that the government should collect detailed data on femicides, including the attackers' nationalities and migration backgrounds.
Gebel rejected the proposals, arguing that the AfD was using violence against women primarily to promote an anti-immigration agenda rather than to protect women.
"The problem is not the country of origin. The problem is male entitlement," she said before AfD lawmaker Martin Reichardt interrupted her.
"Mr. Reichardt, the clitoris has 3,000 nerve endings, and you are still more sensitive. That’s quite an achievement, really," Gebel responded.
The remark caught the chamber off guard, with some lawmakers bursting into laughter, while Reichardt appeared stunned as Gebel continued her speech.
Gebel shared the clip on her Instagram, gaining thousands of views.
After the clip went viral, she posted a follow-up video saying she had misstated how many nerve endings the clitoris has, correcting that it is more than 10,0000 rather than 3,000.
But Gebel said the substance of her comeback still stood, saying anyone who submits what she called a "crap motion" should be able to take the criticism that follows.
The clip has gone viral again after Gebel reposted it on her Instagram on June 19.
